Overview
Play Jar is designed to be simple and private. The app helps families find screen-free activity ideas for kids without requiring an account, advertising, tracking, or a backend account system.
No Account Required
Play Jar does not require you to create an account or sign in to use the app.
No Ads or Third-Party Tracking
Play Jar does not show ads and does not use third-party tracking.
Data Stored on Your Device
Play Jar stores some app preferences and activity information locally on your device, such as:
- favorite activities
- completed activities and progress
- selected filters
- whether onboarding or helper tips have been seen
- local app settings, such as Shake to Pick
This information stays on your device and is not sent to a Play Jar server.
Purchases
Play Jar offers an optional Lifetime Unlock in-app purchase. Purchases are handled securely by Apple through StoreKit. Play Jar does not collect or store your payment card information.
Children’s Privacy
Play Jar is intended to be used by parents, guardians, grandparents, and caregivers to find activity ideas for children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Internet and Backend Services
Play Jar does not use a custom backend account system. Activity content is bundled locally inside the app. StoreKit may communicate with Apple services to process and restore purchases.
